After finishing the schematic for my bare-bones linux board, it was time to design the physical layout of the board. This process was more complicated than boards I have done in the past for two reasons. One, with the fine pitch of the IMX233, I was pretty much hitting the limits of the OSH Park fab guidelines. Two, this board is much higher speed than anything I have done in the past. The RAM is clocked at 100MHz, which is not fast by our standards today, but fast enough that it won’t work unless I take that into consideration.
